Michael Boone – Activity Director
Michael Boone is a dedicated Activity Director with a proven track record of designing and delivering enriching programmes for older adults in residential care. Drawing on years of experience in both the care and hospitality sectors, Michael brings a rare blend of creativity, organisational skill, and genuine empathy to his work.
At Howard Court Care Home, Michael leads the activities programme with a focus on person-centred engagement. He has developed structured monthly calendars that blend group activities, one-to-one sessions, and independent engagement opportunities, ensuring that every resident — regardless of ability or mobility — can participate meaningfully. His approach also integrates reminiscence therapy, gentle exercise, seasonal events, arts and crafts, music sessions, and intergenerational projects with the local community.
